Hawzah News Agency, a Fatimiyya mourning ceremony was held at the Imamia Grand Mosque in Skardu, Baltistan, Pakistan, coinciding with the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her). Addressing the gathering, Hojatoleslam Sheikh Mohammad Javad Hafezi, the Friday prayer leader of the city, explained the historical and doctrinal significance of Fatimiyya and stressed the need to go beyond merely traditional mourning rituals and to gain a deeper understanding of the teachings and doctrines of the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them).

He added that devotion to Islam and the Ahlul Bayt must not be limited to emotions and expressions of affection; rather, this bond must be formed on the basis of deep understanding and firm doctrinal foundations so that a person can defend their religious beliefs with awareness and insight.
Explaining the Historical Station of the Ahlul Bayt in Light of Quranic Teachings
The Pakistani cleric stressed the need to examine the events of Islamic history within their historical context, noting that a correct understanding of the station of the Ahlul Bayt and the events that befell them in Islamic history requires a careful study of history and attention to the contexts and circumstances in which these events occurred.
Interpreting Surah Al-Kawthar, he explained the concept of "Kawthar," saying that the word denotes abundant good and widespread blessing, and that one of the prominent manifestations of this abundant good granted to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) is the continuation of the Prophet's lineage through Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her).

Citing Fakhr al-Din al-Razi's Tafsir al-Kabir, Hojatoleslam Mohammad Javad Hafezi discussed interpretive views on the concept of Kawthar, stating that when the enemies of the Holy Prophet taunted him by claiming his lineage would be cut off and his offspring would not continue, God Almighty revealed Surah Al-Kawthar, informing of the abundant good He had granted to His Prophet.
Referring to the station of Hazrat Fatima Zahra in the continuation of the Holy Prophet's lineage, he stressed the importance of understanding the interpretive and doctrinal dimensions of this surah.
Sayyid Status: An Honor Accompanied by Responsibility
In the final part of his remarks, the Friday prayer leader of Skardu referred to the station and dignity of the Sayyids, describing this lineage as a great honor and stating that possessing this noble lineage, while a source of pride, also carries responsibilities. He said the Sayyids must appreciate this station and, by following the conduct of the Holy Prophet and adhering to the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt, serve in practice as worthy models of Islamic ethics, behavior, and teachings.
